On Sunday mothers everywhere will be gifted handmade cards and macaroni necklaces. Maybe they’ll even get breakfast in bed (and if they’re lucky it will even be edible). As lovely as those things are, here are some things she really wants for Mother’s day.

This year has flown by so fast, I can’t believe Christmas is this weekend!

Every year at this time I say “next year I’m going to start early” then the next year comes and I don’t. I can’t be the only one, right? This year I was a little ahead, but not by much. Typically I ask the kids to write out things they’d like for Christmas and then star or highlight their top few picks so that I know the one or two things they really want. I thought I’d share some of the top things with you guys in case you’re stuck on what to get the kids in your life.
Today we stop, to remember the people who fight for our country, the people who keep our nation free, for the soldiers still fighting and for those that will never make it home.
