Last Month: March brought us spring (not that Mother Nature has caught on) , it also brought us the anniversary of my mom’s birth, and Easter! I started to really grow my blog and posting a lot more, I’m even getting more comfortable about starting to post more personal things every now & then. I’ve been really focused on growing my social media (mostly focusing on twitter and Instagram, but my page is getting some likes on facebook too) My goal is to actually have followers I like to interact with. I’ve met some pretty great people by just clicking “follow”.
Glancing At This Month : April brings with it our dating anniversary and my birthday! Hopefully some warmer days come soon too.
Reading: Pregnant Pause (Han Nolan) I found this at our local dollar store. I figured I couldn’t go wrong for the price so I picked it up. I’m part way through and I actually like it. It’s about a girl who is sixteen and pregnant, who has been forced into a marriage and pressured into giving her baby up.
Obsessed: My current obsessions include EOS lip balm, coconut milk Live Clean body soaps, blackberry Gingerale & Tim Horton’s Nutella croissants. I’ve also been getting back into makeup instead of just the occasional eyeliner.
Watching: In March I discovered both The Walking Dead and True Blood. I don’t know how I went so long without watching them! I’m also eager to start watching The Ranch on Netflix! (link is to the trailer)
Listening to: Blown Away by Carrie Underwood. March has been full of Country Music (seriously, check out my spotify country playlist here)
Teaching: C and I are working on his french right now. It seemed like the best way to start because he’s really good at it. We’re flying through lessons and he hopes to move on to advanced french after this (while adding in another subject through correspondence) He wants to read “The Boy In The Striped Pajamas” for reading and I’m hoping that will open us up to learning about the Holocaust. I’m hoping to get him to read Night as well.
It’s been a few weeks since I’ve done one of these. I think I may start doing them once a month.
Feeling: hungry and sick. There’s been a cold in the house for a week now.
Reading: Night World book 1 (Lj Smith) I’m part way through the first story and so far I love it! Not that I’m surprised. Vampires are kind of my weakness.
Enjoying: The fact that we had a gorgeous spring-like weekend. Of course we’re supposed to get some snow tonight so today has been grey and dismal, but it was nice while it lasted.
Thinking About if I should get a legit host (instead of just a domain through WP.) It’s a lot of work, but the perks are so amazing.
Loving: Bolthouse Blueberry banana Almond milk smoothie So much yum!
Watching: I finished up Fuller House (see my review here), and now I’m binge watching the old episodes of Full house with my kids, and still binge watching the Walking Dead when they’re asleep.
Listening to: Almost every morning when I wake up my local radio plays Stressed Out and I kind of <3 it.

Little Miss had her 18 month shots. She is now 25 lbs & 31 3/4 inches (2 ft 6!) It was only one shot, and she took it well.
I called the board to find out what was going on with our letter excusing C from school and called the old school for his transcript so we can start the correspondence courses. The board said they sent them to the school but they were more than happy to email me a copy, so I have that now. I called the school, they have the letter but need to get the transcript together. I should have that by the end of the week (!!!) then we can start with that. In the meantime we have been working on things to keep his head in the game, so to speak.
Eating: Jujube candy. I can feel the calories. I don’t even care.
Craving: Subway. Nom nom.
Listening to: Bruno Mars, Treasure
Thinking: About all the amazing things I can do with this whole homeschool thing.
Feeling: Excited and a bit overwhelmed, but mostly excited.
Needing: to work on my “about me” page.
Wanting: more interactive readers.
Reading: Paper Towns [John Green]
Looking Ahead: The end of the week brings us Valentine’s day & hubby’s birthday! We’re also hoping to take in the heritage festival at our local library this weekend.
