On Sunday mothers everywhere will be gifted handmade cards and macaroni necklaces. Maybe they’ll even get breakfast in bed (and if they’re lucky it will even be edible). As lovely as those things are, here are some things she really wants for Mother’s day.
Let her sleep in.
This seems like a no-brainer, but I’m posting it anyways. Let the mother of your children sleep in. I mean really sleep in. Pop in a family movie for the kids to keep them quiet and let her sleep. Don’t let the kids creep upstairs looking for her until the movie is over Let her have the extra sleep. She’ll love it.
Handle some of the housework, without being asked.
Imagine her face when she wakes up to a clean living room, a dish free kitchen and a load of laundry in the wash.
Take the kids to the park for an hour and let her spend some alone time reading or relaxing in a bubble bath without hearing “moooooooom” every 2 seconds. Maybe she’ll take the time to watch a movie uninterrupted. (I suggest Bad Moms, here’s why)
Make a ‘Mom Friendly’ dinner.
Every other day she makes family and kid friendly dinner, take the time to make her something she’ll love.
Don’t skip the cute cards etc
Moms love all that cute, handmade stuff from kids. We really do love that stuff.
