TVD Forever

I don’t know if any of you watch The Vampire Diaries, but I’ve been a die hard fan from the start, and last night marked the series finale. True to the way TVD always has been the episode sent us on a whirlwind of emotions right up until the end. I cried, I smiled, I cried more.

Cut for spoilers. If you haven’t seen the finale and don’t want spoilers don’t read more.

Since they announced that a long time show runner was going to die in the finale I had my bets placed on Damon. As much as he was my favourite character I thought that him dying would bring his character back around to the person he was pre-vampire days. I could never have imagined that they’d close the story in such a way that it came full circle. That Stefan would find the one way to give his brother back everything he took from him the day he forced him to turn.  While the death made me sad the closure of that story filled me with warmth. They couldn’t have ended the series in any better way.
I’m really glad they let Bonnie go off and live a life while also finding a way to bring Elena back. I was a bit worried they’d kill her off and after everything that girl has been through she deserved a happy ending.  I also really enjoyed the visual of Elena & Damon not only finding each other, but finding their peace after their life was done. While I was devastated for Caroline and Stefan, I think that they planted a nice little seed for another spin off (and perhaps some more Klauaroline in the future?!) It would be really neat to see a spin off focused on different supernatural children attending the boarding school. I guess we’ll see! I can’t wait to see what The Originals has in store for us after that emotional series finale.

I’ll definitely be pre-ordering the full series from Amazon.ca so that I can relive all the moments over and over.  (this link is an affiliate link, I may get a small commission if you purchase via this link)
