Vampires Day 3 – Selene

The underworld is basically Vampire & Lycan meets Romeo and Juliet, only with like a lot more blood & vampires.
Lucian, the werewolf born in human form (called Lycan) is born as a slave to the aristocratic Vampire, Viktor, who takes him as a favourite from a young age. As Lucian grows he falls in love with Sonja, the vampire and Viktor’s daughter. One day Sonja leaves her home and is in danger from the free werewolves and Lucian escapes to save her. Though this is heroic, Viktor must punish him since it’s against the rules. Sonja orchestrates Lucian’s release in exchange for her seat on the vampire council. Lucian decides to escape after liberating all of the other Lycans. Sonja’s father learns of her betrayal and impersonates her. Lucian returns for her but they are both captured. Sonja reveals she is pregnant, which further angers her father.  He takes her to the council and she is sentenced to death, by sunlight. While Lucian watches, chained and unable to stop it.  Later the lycan whom are free attack the fortress and save Lucian.  The Lycan & Vampire war continues for centuries.  Until Selene, a kick ass vampire warrior, falls for a human (Micheal) who is then bitten by a Lycan. She must decide to do her duty to her vampire coven and kill him or betray them and save him.

I really love Selene’s character.

She has it all.

Music Monday: This

When I heard this song on my Deezer I knew I had to use it for Music Monday. I absolutely believe that things happen for a reason, even the bad things. That if you don’t go through the things you do your life wouldn’t be where it is today. Had I not chosen to go downtown with my friend one March day I wouldn’t have met my hubby. It’s amazing how all the little things add up and shape your life.

For every stoplight I didn’t make
Every chance I did or I didn’t take
All the nights I went too far
All the girls that broke my heart
All the doors that I had to close
All the things I knew but I didn’t know
Thank God for all I missed
Cause it led me here to
